S.A.C.™ is a simple, extremely effective baglike apparatus in which to hold soiled personal hygiene items, four and a half inches by nine inches in dimension, 2.5 millimeters in thickness. The bag is white and opaque, in other words, you cannot see the contents inside. S.A.C.™ is made of biodegradable or degradable, two layer plastic material which is environmentally friendly, or, in today’s terms, “green.” Various sizes of S.A.C.™ are currently in development and will be available soon including a diaper disposal bag. The inner bag of the S.A.C.™ is formed and stored in a collapsed state. When used, the bag opens into what will become its contents receiving form. There are two styles of closure for the S.A.C.™—bags that will be stored inside a box, and bags that will be placed on a standard toilet paper roll and are designed to be used in a tear-off fashion.
On the box version, there is a one inch closure flap with an adhesive composition, or glue, on the inside of the flap located on the outside of the bag. The glue is covered with a pull off strip that is easily removable. After filling the S.A.C.™, the user will remove the pull off strip rendering the area tacky, and fold the closure flap over the sack. The bag can now be sealed shut by holding the flap in the closed position.
On the tear-off roll style, the S.A.C.™ is designed to be pulled or torn from the roll at the perforated line, filled, folded over, and hand-tied shut.
With either style, the contents cannot escape and the contaminated, soiled material will be contained securely inside the bag. Place everything into a garbage receptacle if one is nearby. If there isn’t an appropriate place to discard the S.A.C.™ and its contents, it is possible to temporarily store it discretely inside a pocket, purse, or tote without embarrassment due to its double layered opacity.
There are many practical uses for S.A.C.™. One of the best is to provide a dignified solution for proper disposal of feminine menstrual sanitary products. Good menstrual hygiene is crucial for the health and self-esteem of young girls and women. This topic has not yet been suitably addressed by the general public.
